Rhapsody and I are planning on leaving the house on St. Awdry's Road tomorrow, by 11am.
We will tidy up, sweep and try to vacuum. The only bedroom we used was the upstairs one but we did borrow the pillows and the towels from the downstairs one to use as well.

We enjoyed staying here as it has all the amenities of home. It made our hectic days in London much easier. Aside from the changing weather, we had a great time.

I spent 10 months in Catherine and Jan's house. The house is comfortable, with all facilities (washing machine, kitchen full of items to cook...) hot water and heating during the winter.
It's 5 mins walk to Barking Station that permits people to go all around London, infact there are a lot different trains from this station to go to London city or around Essex (District line, Overground, C2C... ) and outside the station there are a lot of different buses to go to East London and around Barking too (Ilford, Romford...). Catherine and Jan have always been fine and available with me and they've always helped me when I needed items for the house or if I needed informations about the local area.

Thank you for the use of the flat at Faircross Avenue, Barking.
As you know, I have been here for ten weeks since mid-September, 2011. Accommodation in London is very expensive, so the very reasonable rent was most welcome.
The flat is comfortable, warm and quiet; and, with WiFi, a bathroom and well-equipped kitchen, is quite self-contained.
Clothes can be washed in the automatic machine upstairs. I am not much of a TV watcher, but other people might be pleased to be able to watch it in the flat, and also to play DVDs.
The flat was also very conveniently located for me; being only a bus ride away from the University of East London Docklands campus, and close to the railway station at Barking.
This made it easy to travel into central London.

You are so lucky to live in such a diverse, scenic, historic and friendly country. Our trip was made easier by having your flat to fully relax in during bouts of sight seeing.
Next year we plan to visit France, spending a week in each of Paris, Normandy, Bordeaux, Provence, and Burgundy regions. Can you recommend a Paris flat or country cottages? I am presuming that you might have 'industry' contacts in France.

There were no problems with the flat during our stay. Even the guy upstairs with the exercycle did not cause any disruptions.
The closeness to barking Station with the C2C or the tube was of great benefit. The flat being on the ground floor is also a plus, and by the way, there is a lift and assistance for those who ask, at Barking Station.
We can make it all the way to terminal 5 avoiding the stairs.
I tried to call your home number this evening, using Skype on my laptop, but had a weird connection. Oh yes, the wifi was greatly appreciated. I do not let lodgings without wifi anymore.
I will leave all of the keys in the flat when we depart tomorrow morning.

Great accommodation in a very convenient location at very reasonable prices. Catherine and Jan were great hosts, happy to offer lots of information and make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The room I stayed in was spacious, cosy and clean with TV and free Wi-Fi. The place was equipped with all the appliances (washing machine, dryer, microwave, iron etc.) and kitchenware. The place is certainly suitable for everyone, from students to older people and couples.
The house was on quiet road conveniently located at just 5 minute walk from the train station from which in 15 minutes you can reach central London.
The area is very safe with plenty of shops, pubs and supermarkets open until late.
Overall, an excellent solution for both short and long term stays in the London area.

My stay at London-Rooms was a great and memorable experience. The self-catered kitchens allowed me to feel like a true local during my stay, and the quick transport links to central London from Barking (on the sleek new C2C trains to Tower Hill) offered me all the amenities of central London, without the expense of the chintzy central London tourist hotels.

The room I stayed in was large, en suite, with bedding provided. I was able to stay linked to the world with a fast, free WiFi connection and a television. And the environs of Barking and east London, I discovered, also have much to offer. I spent some countless hours exploring the station parade shops and the outdoor market while shopping for groceries and other essentials.

But what unexpectedly made my stay memorable was getting to know my fellow housemates. I shared travel tips (and stories!) with other guests, but I was still able retreat to the privacy of my own room after a night-long chat. I got much more than a room with a bed, I got a whole and complete travel experience!

London-Rooms gets my highest recommendation for any traveler and visitor to London.

We keep very good memories of our stay in London in August and we're actually thinking of coming back for some shopping :)
I have just investigated the timetables and price lists of the low cost airlines and came to the conclusion taht 26 Feb - March 2010 would be the best. This is Friday-Tuesday. I haven't made any bookings yet and the date may be changed from about 24 Feb to about 3 March; I want it to include the weekend anyway. Maybe it could be another weekend too but not around St Valentine's Day, because the airlines charge ridiculously high prices for that period. Would you have any flat available in these dates?

Similarly as before, we are interested in a twin or double room with private bathroom and kitchenette. What would be the price, please? And what about the heating please - is it strong and included in the price? I must say that there seems to be a difference between the UK and Poland in this respect, because we are used to have at least about 20 centigrade in the room and even more in a bathroom.
